The Eagle project of HAN Automotive focuses on the development of Light Electric Transport. The goal is to develop a new vehicle between car and bicycle which is economically viable and being ready for production. HAN is running this project together with professional companies, researchers, teachers and students in a project that will run for around 6 years.
Within the Eagle project, Loendersloot is intending to be responsible for the policy side of achieving better conditions for electric vehicle passenger transport. During all phases of the project, Loendersloot is endeavoring to take a connecting role by deploying their connections with governments, companies and education. The role of Loendersloot should also complementary to the HAN efforts. For a new vehicle to be allowed on public roads shape, speed, size are important characteristics, also considering the current public debate in The Netherlands about the speed pedelec E-bike.
